About the Program
Green Sprouts operates as a part-time licensed family childcare program. It serves toilet trained children from age 2 to 5 years old, prior to starting Kindergarten. It is geared toward families looking for a half day program that offers daily enrichments, developmental activities and peer interaction where children come to learn and play. It is ideal for parents who work part time or for non-working parents who can provide care for their child during daycare closure days. My program closure schedule follows the local school district calendar (open during summer break.)
My goal is to provide a preschool-like experience where children gain skills in areas such as social interaction, problem solving and team work. I follow a set weekly curriculum and encourage learning through a variation of activities focused on developmental stages and core concepts for kindergarten readiness. I implement this through planned activities within curriculum themes but most importantly, through PLAY! The daily schedule includes rest time from noon to 2p.m. for all ages and tuition covers two healthy snacks and lunch.
I provide weekly curriculum with the help of Experience Curriculums “Mother Goose Time” which can be found and researched at www.mothergoosetime.com. It is a research-based approach to learning. The Experience Curriculum Program applies child development theories and brain research to a unique model of teacher support, child experience and family engagement.
I also pull my own curriculum from websites, curriculum books and from my experience in the classroom as a preschool teacher. It is my goal to be more than a place your child simply comes to play each day. I want them to learn and be empowered as individuals too!
COVID-19
Green Sprouts Family Childcare is following all guidance and regulations set forth by the CDC, HHS and Community Care Licensing. My top priority is the health and safety of my program families/children as well as my own.
Room Renovations!
Take a look at our new preschool space
We recently added a gorgeous sunroom to our home for the sole purpose of having a dedicated space for our preschoolers to learn and grow! Green Sprouts now has a new side entrance, hand washing sink and beautiful classroom-like space to spend our days in. Children also have access to the main house and of course, the big backyard! We are so excited about our new space and we'd love to show you around!

Enrollment Process
Looking to Enroll? Follow These Steps!
Hello and Welcome...
Hello and thank you for taking an interest in Green Sprouts Family Childcare! My program is a small family childcare home licensed with The Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing Division. It serves toilet trained children ages 2 to 5 years old, prior to entering Kindergarten. I offer a home-like preschool setting with a small ratio geared toward quality care and curriculum based, age appropriate activities. My program offers a structured day with activity and learning centers, circle time, art and plenty of outside time. I offer preschool curriculum which focuses on developmental milestones and learning through hands on activities and exploration. Below are answers to some questions you may have about the enrollment process and how to get started!
Step #1 First Contact
First contact can begin by phone, email or through the real time chat option on this website. To begin, I will need some general information such as the hours and days you need care for, your child's age etc. I will also be happy to answer any general questions you may have regarding my services. My tuition prices are listed on the home page under "Tuition Rates" if you'd like to start there, I know that is an important first question!
Step #2 Reading the Parent Handbook and Policies
Once you think that you would like to enroll your child into the program, please thoroughly read through the parent handbook. It can be found on the home page under "Parent Handbook" or in the "New Client Information Files" link. I can also email you a copy, if requested.
This step is vital; you will learn everything about the policies and procedures I have in place for the protection and well being of my business, the parents and the children who come into the program.
Step #3 The Interview
After reading the handbook and ensuring you can adhere to all policies, if you are still interested in the program, we can set up an interview (outside of daycare hours) to meet in person.
During the interview, I will be glad to give you a tour of my home along with an introduction to the program. I love questions, so bring some along with you!
I ask that parents/legal guardians as well as any children who might be enrolled, please attend! Everyone will have an opportunity to get a feel for the program this way.
Step #4 Signing the Contract
Once I have accepted your child's enrollment, I will need a completed "Parent Packet" before your child's first day of attendance. This can be printed from the "New Client Information Files" section of the website or I will give you a binder with these forms to take home at the interview.
All sign-up fees are due upon submission of the completed Parent Packet. This includes:
First and last weeks tuition
Registration Fee
Spot Holding Fees
Your child is not officially enrolled until both the signed contract and sign up fees are submitted/paid. Once finalized, your child may begin attending.
New Client Files
These files are for new clients looking for information on the program and/or beginning the enrollment process.
Parent Handbook
This is the parent handbook. In it, you will find all the information regarding the program, provider, policies and procedures. Please take the time to read it thoroughly and carefully! Clients must agree to all polices and be able to adhere to every aspect of the program contained in this handbook in order to enroll.
Parent Packet/Contract
This Parent Packet contains all forms which must be given to clients upon enrollment. The program contract agreement is contained within this packet as well as, all other forms given to clients. It is a complete set of forms pertaining to enrollment. Please view them all carefully. This packet needs to be returned in its entirety upon enrollment.
Existing Client Forms
This section is for clients already enrolled in the program.
Contracted Schedule Modification
This form is for current clients only. It is used to request a modification in your contracted schedule. If you wish to change your child's hours or days of enrollment, this must be submitted to the provider for approval at least two weeks before you wish modifications to take place. Submission is not a guarantee of modification.
